Their star player was the dynamic attacking midfielder, Youri Tielemans, who had been in sensational form lately, scoring four goals in his last three matches.
The match started off with both teams looking to take control of the game. However, the Leicester City players were up to the task, as they calmly passed the ball around the pitch and looked for openings to exploit.
It was Leicester City who struck first, with Youri Tielemans scoring a stunning goal in the 25th minute. The Belgian midfielder picked up the ball just outside the Leeds United penalty area and unleashed a powerful shot that flew past the outstretched arms of the Leeds United goalkeeper and into the top corner of the net. The Leicester City fans erupted in joy as their team took the lead.
Leeds United, however, did not let the goal deter them, and they continued to press forward in search of an equalizer. The striker picked up the ball on the edge of the Leicester City penalty area and jinked past two defenders before unleashing a low shot that nestled in the bottom corner of the net.
