As the game progressed, both teams made strategic substitutions in an attempt to gain an advantage. Real Madrid brought on Marco Asensio and Isco, while Celta Vigo introduced Denis Suarez and Gabriel Fernandez. These changes injected some fresh energy into both teams, and the game continued to be intense and closely contested.
In the end, it was Real Madrid who came out on top. In the 87th minute, defender Nacho Fernandez scored a crucial goal, heading in a cross from Kroos to put Real Madrid ahead 2-1.
