The Man in the Basement was a mystery that had haunted the small village of Bramley for years. Nobody knew who he was, or why he had chosen to live in the old abandoned cellar on the edge of town.

Over time, the teenagers became regular visitors to the man in the basement. They would bring him food and blankets, and they would spend hours talking to him. They learned that William had been living in the cellar for years, ever since he had lost his job and his wife had left him.
William had fallen on hard times, and he had no family or friends to turn to. He had been living in the cellar, scraping by on whatever he could find, for years.
