The third and final round saw Yan come out with a sense of desperation, knowing that he needed to finish the fight to win. He landed some solid punches and kicks, but was once again taken down by Dvalishvili.
Despite Yan’s best efforts to get back to his feet and mount offense, Dvalishvili was able to maintain top control for the rest of the round, securing a unanimous decision victory from the judges.
The co-main event featured a lightweight bout between Islam Makhachev and Michael Chandler. Makhachev, a training partner of Khabib Nurmagomedov, came into the fight with a perfect 20-0 record and looked to establish himself as a top contender in the division.
Chandler, a former Bellator lightweight champion, looked to bounce back from a loss in his last outing and establish himself as a top fighter in the UFC. The fight promised to be a battle of grappling, with both fighters known for their wrestling and submission skills.
