It was Almería who struck again, in the 72nd minute. A quick counter-attack caught Real Madrid’s defence off-guard, and Almería’s winger was able to get past Courtois and slot the ball into the net.
Real Madrid responded once again, with a goal from Vinicius Junior in the 80th minute. The Brazilian winger received the ball on the edge of the box and curled a beautiful shot into the top corner of the net, leaving Almería’s goalkeeper with no chance.
The final 10 minutes of the match were a tense affair, with both teams creating chances but unable to find a winner. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, a result that was probably fair given the balance of play throughout the match.
Real Madrid will be disappointed not to have taken all three points from the match, as it would have given them a four-point lead over Barcelona at the top of the La Liga standings. However, they can take some solace in the fact that they remain unbeaten in their last six league matches.
